Andrea Alexis
Andrea Alexis serves as the president of Friends of Canaan. Her desire is to serve Jesus by serving those in need. In addition to the work in Canaan, Andrea and her husband, Igor, also run the Kay Michou Family Center which serves the community in La Plaine, Haiti, and they have started a small business in Haiti, called Alexis Transportation, where a portion of the proceeds will also go to serving the community in that area.
Andrea attends the Great Rock Church in Danvers, Massachusetts, where she serves in the nursery and on the prayer team. Andrea has degrees in mathematics, secondary education, and English as a Second Language from Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts. She currently teaches high school math at the Masconomet Regional High School and is an adjunct professor at Gordon College. Andrea enjoys learning about photography in her spare time.

Igor Alexis
Igor Alexis, Executive Director of Friends of Canaan, was born and raised in Haiti. Igor’s motivation to serve comes from his love for Jesus Christ. Along with his wife, Andrea, Igor runs the Kay Michou Family Center in La Plaine, Haiti, a center named for his mother who has been a role model in serving the Lord by taking care of friends and neighbors in need. Igor also oversees Alexis Transportation, a small transportation business that he and his wife started in Haiti, the proceeds of which will go towards serving the community in the area.
At Great Rock Church in Danvers, Massachusetts, Igor serves as a liason for the church’s ministry involvement in Haiti. He also serves on the cleaning team and as a prayer counselor. Igor earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Suffolk University and a Master of Arts in Theology from the Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
Jacqueline Bynum
Jacqueline Bynum serves as the treasurer for Friends of Canaan, handling monetary transactions within the United States and with our partners in Haiti. She is currently the Food Service Director for Sodexo at the Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts, where she uses her managerial skills and accounting skills on a daily basis. She has worked at that location since 2007, but has been in the food service industry since 2004.
Jacqueline attends the Church of Saint Paul in Hamilton, Massachusetts. She has a heart of service, always looking to see how she can best take care of people, whether she is at work or with her family. She is a proud mother to five super fantastic children. She enjoys spending time with her family, including her granddaughter in Vermont, and is excited to welcome two more grandchildren in 2018.

Nadine Bellame
Nadine Bellame, originally from Haiti, is the secretary of Friends Of Canaan. and an experienced healthcare professional with an educational background in Healthcare Administration. She currently works as a Patient Access Representative at Metrowest Medical Center and is also a Specimen Processor for Drugscan, Inc. She currently teaches Sunday school at Morijah Evangelical Church and is also a praise dance leader of Symphony Dance Ministry. She enjoys promoting and participating in fellowship opportunities. As a Christian, her desire is to live as an authentic witness of Christ and to be an example for both believers and non-believers.

Sabrina Ruffin
Sabrina Ruffin serves as an advisor for Friends of Canaan. In her professional life, Sabrina works as a Compliance Specialist and Project Manager at a software company where she has been employed for the past three and a half years. Many of the skills that she utilizes at work, critical thinking, planning, and decision making, are many of the same skills she employs while serving on the board of Friends of Canaan. Sabrina’s love for God pushes her to live a life of service so that those around her may come to know and serve Him. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise and Sports Science from Fitchburg University and spends her free time with her beloved family including her newborn son, Kealar.

Kate Berry
Kate Berry serves as a member of the advisory board of Friends of Canaan. She has been close personal friends with President Andrea Alexis since childhood and as a result has become passionate about the work being done to serve the children in Haiti.
Kate has a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from St. Michael's college. She is a Systems Engineer at Avid Technology, supporting their video archive software.

Laura
Laura Greeley, who serves as a member of the Board of Advisors for Friends of Canaan, teaches Social Studies at the Masconomet Regional High School. As a colleague and friend of Andrea, she has been a proud supporter of Andrea and Igor’s mission since it was conceived. She is driven by a humanitarian desire to serve and is particularly interested in supporting sustainable development in Haiti.
Laura also serves as advisor to Masconomet's Model United Nations team, which has led yearly fundraising and outreach campaigns for Friends of Canaan at school and in the local community. She has a masters degrees in History and is working toward an additional administrative degree. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and exploring the world and its cultures with her two young children.
Jodie Berry
Jodie Berry serves as a member of the advisory board of Friends of Canaan. She is honored to be working with Andrea and Igor serving the children of Haiti. Jodie’s networking abilities, in connection with her heart for the children in Canaan, enable her to expand the reach of this organization as she seeks to provide others with the opportunities to share in this endeavor.Jodie has a degree in Health Education from Northeastern University. She is a licensed social worker, childbirth educator and birth doula. Jodie has spent her entire career advocating for the health and wellbeing of young mothers and their children.
